In Tovačov and its immediate surroundings there are 8 monuments to the battles fought here in July 1866 between Prussian and Austrian soldiers.
The recently built nature trail is about 9 km long, is easy to follow, and forms a circuit. The trail begins and ends at the tower of Tovačov Castle, where is an information board. On the first floor of the Tovačov Chateau, you can visit a new permanent exhibition dedicated to the battle on the plains of Tovačov, and you can also learn more about the whole war conflict. The route also leads along field paths and you will walk around the extensive Tovačov ponds.
