Horní náměstí 1/1 750 02 Přerov - Přerov I-Město, Česko Plan route
Comenius Museum
Přerov is known for its significant archaeological findings dating back to the time of the mammoth hunters. Historical artefacts are the heart of the Komenský Museum's exhibition.
In addition to the "Archaeology of Přerov" exhibition, the museum shows reconstructions of school classrooms as they looked during the time of John Amos Comenius, the Austro-Hungarian Empire, the First Republic (1918-1938) or in the 1950s. The museum has been housed in a Renaissance castle for more than 100 years. In addition to this historical landmark of the town, we recommend a walk through Michalov Park andaround the lagoons of Přerov or a sightseeing cruise on the Bečva River. The town is crossed by the Bečva cycle path, which can be used to get to Lipník nad Bečvou, Hranice, and even further to East Moravia.
