Focused on natureFind your way out of the city and experience adventures on the water or divine moments of peace in the middle of the woods! You can find a real natural treasure just outside Olomouc. The Protected Landscape Area Litovelské Pomoraví stretches over the town of Litovel all the way to the Moravičany Lake near Mohelnice. In the area of nearly 100 square kilometres you will not only enjoy walks and bike rides along the floodplain forests around the Morava River, but you will also come across many great places here. Make a stop at the Hunting Lodge in Horka nad Moravou and in nearby Sluňákov with its unique nature gallery. 7 kilometres further you can rent a board or water skis and see how long you can maintain balance on the water. Náklo Sand Pit is not only about swimming but also about increasingly popular water sports such as wakeboarding, wakesurfing, water skiing or paddleboarding. After a short drive from Litovel, you can find the Mladeč Caves. This site was once inhabited by the Cro-Magnon people along with mammoths, cave lions and other prehistoric animals whose bones have been discovered here. Once you return from your trip to prehistoric times, stop for a bite at the Sobáč Pond. You don't have to fish for anything (but you definitely can if you have rods and a permit), just order fresh fish, a burger, pizza straight from the oven or just whatever you fancy. The cooking here is really delicious! Up on deckYour return trip back to Olomouc doesn't need to be overland. Just choose your route, boat and paddling equipment, IN LIFE or Paddle Moravia will take care of everything else. The Morava River is navigable all the way from Hanušovice to Olomouc, which makes for a beautiful 100 kilometres. However, the thirty-kilometre stretch from Hanušovice to Postřelmov is not navigable all year round. But from Postřelmov you can merrily paddle all the way down to Olomouc. It can be done in 3-4 days. There are plenty of entry and exit points on the river, which allows you to enjoy a day paddling trip and an adventure for a whole week. The most beautiful stretch of the river of course runs through the Litovelské Pomoraví Protected Landscape Area; you can easily make it from Horka nad Moravou to Olomouc in 3 hours. We recommend: campsites on the Morava River There's always a bigger fishDo you know what Cristiano Ronaldo, Brad Pitt, Harrison Ford, Emma Watson or Rihanna and Taylor Swift have in common? Believe it or not, besides fame and a fat bank account, it's also a passion for fishing. So pack up your rods and come and fish! Not only is Sobáč Pond a great lunch stop, but you can also fish here day and night. There are several fishing huts around the pond with its three islands, so you can extend your afternoon fishing for several days. The beer tap is only a few metres away, so where would you need to go? For a bit more intimate fishing, head to Čertovy rybníky, 4 km from Konice. You can get a catch-and-release or catch-and-take fishing permit for the day on the spot. So feel free to take your tents, throw your catch on the grill in the evening and enjoy the starry night sky in the midst of natural beauty. Bike to the edge of the world's deepest chasmAnd finally, a tip for all you cycling maniacs! The Bečva cycle path - that's a pretty cool 67 km, from Tovačov to Valašské Meziříčí. On the way, you will pass the Tovačov Chateau, the Jadran natural swimming pool, the ruins of the medieval Helfštýn castle, the deepest flooded abyss in the world in Hranice, the Teplice nad Bečvou Spa and the Zbrašov aragonite caves - the warmest caves in the Czech Republic. |
