In addition to the permanent exhibition of Unicov Baroque, the museum will introduce you to the personality of St. Jan Sarkander.
The Catholic priest was born in Skočov, Silesia, and served as a parish priest in Uničov for several years. He was eventually accused of treason, imprisoned, and martyred in Olomouc, on the site of today's St. Sarkander's Chapel. He was canonized in 1995 by Pope John Paul II. The exposition is located in the center of the town, in a house listed as a protected monument near the rectory. After visiting the museum, you can continue your visit to the interactive prison exhibition in Šatlava, enjoy a walk through the town or the surrounding area, and head to nearby Šternberk, to the family-run Chocolate Factory in Troubelice, or the Lavender Farm in Bezděkov.
