Chocolate mousse

Chocolate mousse

The recipe for chocolate mousse may look complicated, but it's not! The most important thing is good quality chocolate.

  • 200 g cooking chocolate
  • 1 whipping cream
  • 3 eggs
  • powdered sugar
  • butter
  • fruit for decoration
  • chocolate chips for decoration

Take a saucepan and put water in it and a metal bowl with chocolate chopped into pieces. Gradually heat the water and prepare a water bath. Melt the chocolate, add the butter and knead into a smooth consistency. Leave aside to cool a little. Separate the eggs into yolks and whites. Beat the egg yolks with the icing sugar until nice and smooth and make stiff snow with the egg whites. In a larger bowl, whip the whipping cream (you can also use a whipping cream thickener) and gradually fold in all the ingredients (whipped egg yolks, snow). Finally, stir in the cooled chocolate and make a fluffy chocolate mousse. It is recommended to put the mousse in a decorating bag and then fill into cups or bowls. Leave in the fridge to chill and decorate with raspberries and crushed chocolate. We used Troubelice chocolate from a family chocolate factory near Uničov. And we've never really eaten better chocolate mousse!
