Hanakian curd cheese soup

Recipe for a traditional Hanakian soup, where the main role is played by tvargle (Olomouc curd cheese). The curd cheese is full of protein and if you omit the butter, you have a super winter fitness dinner.

  • 0.5 l of milk
  • 0,5 l of water
  • cumin
  • salt
  • 1 packet of coarse cottage cheese
  • 1 packet of curds
  • butter
  • boiled potatoes in skin
  • chives for garnish

Put the milk, water and cumin in a saucepan. Slowly heat and add the salt, cottage cheese and Olomouc curd cheese, stirring constantly until creamy. Before serving, add the butter and the warmed cooked potatoes in their skins. Serve garnished with fresh chopped chives and pieces of finely chopped curd cheese We used homemade cottage cheese from Zlatá farma, which is our absolute favourite.
