Uničov region with the smell of chocolate

In the center of Uničov, you will be surprised by the original building of the town hall, from whose tower you can enjoy a beautiful view of the whole town. Uničov's rarity is undoubtedly the Town Jail with an exposition of the prison system. As a prisoner, you can try to write a letter home or knit a rope from a piece of bed sheet, and you can even try to escape. You're unlikely to succeed, so you'll end up in the torture chamber, where you'll be subjected to lacing, the mace, the Spanish boot, or the popular knuckle-crusher.

Several walking and cycling trails of varying difficulty crisscross the surrounding area. With children, you might prefer to head to Uničov's swimming pool with its water slide, slides, and playground. You can also go a little further afield, to Paseky, to the biotope swimming pool. From there, we recommend a walk to the beautiful Paseky waterfall. It's not a giant, the water on the Teplička River flows down from a height of about five meters. But you can hear it from a distance. You will find the waterfall by the road leading from Paseky to Pasecký Žleb.
