Sternberg region is always a good choice

Start at the Sternberg Castle, where you and your children will have fun with special costumed tours, film and fairy tale screenings in the castle park, themed theatre programs, or creative workshops.

From the castle, return to Horní náměstí and discover the modern, playful Ecce Homo Park in the Sternberg Monastery. Immerse your children in the atmosphere of a famous European hill climb car race, try to beat a seven-time European champion on a professional simulator, repair a car or change a wheel in a flash!

What about playing a space game, taking pictures with the Hubble telescope, and learning about the process of the origin of the universe and time? The Time Exposition tells the 14 billion-year story that began with the Big Bang. They have unique exhibits from over twenty museums from the Czech Republic and around the world, 3D models, and a respectable lineup of interactive games.

After a stroll through the city streets, you can refresh yourself at the Sternberg swimming pool. Some alternatives include the summer swimming pool in nearby Bělkovice-Lašt'any or the indoor pool with attractions, saunas, and a whirlpool in the Bohuňovice Health Centre. Just 3 km from Šternberk you can find a natural swimming pool in Dolní Žleb, and not far away you can take a dip in the lake near Dalov.

Before you leave Šternberk for your next adventure, take the children for a walk along the easy Prabába Nature Trail, which will take you through nature above the town. At the 9 stops you can learn about life in the forest and local myths and legends.

Do you have your bikes with you? Then ride 18 km along the Star Cycle Path to Olomouc or pedal uphill to the source of the Těšíkovská kyselka. From there, it's not far to the Jívová Sports and Shooting Complex. Not only can you get a good meal here, but dads can try shooting with an instructor while the kids can have fun on the multifunctional playground. If you're the proud owner of an electric bike, the charging station will also come in handy. And actually, why not stay the night? You'll stay in a modern apartment, roast marshmallows or sausages together on the fire in the evening, and enjoy family time in the middle of nature.
