Cast buns

Nothing can go wrong with cast buns. You don't believe us? Try our recipe and treat yourself with perfect buns like from your grandma.

  • 1 l milk
  • 0,5 kg plain flour
  • 3 vanilla sugars
  • pinch of salt
  • 5 eggs
  • oil to grease the mould

Whisk the eggs, vanilla sugar and salt into the milk and gradually add the sifted flour. Make a nice smooth dough, which you fill into a preheated greased mould (ceramic). Bake in the oven at 200°C for about 20 minutes, until the dough puffs up and browns. The dough must be firm inside. After baking, decorate with icing sugar, top with fruit sauce, whipped cream and fresh fruit.
