The Firefighters' Museum traces the development of firefighting technology in the oldest factory in former Austria-Hungary. Here you can see hand-powered fire engines, piston sprinklers, and modern petrol trucks.
The exhibits from the Smekal brothers' factory document not only the quality of production at the time but also technological inventions. The fame of the Smekal company's fire extinguishers is evidenced by the fact that they were in demand not only in European countries but also in Egypt and China. In Čechy pod Kosířem you should also visit the Museum of Historical Carriages and the castle with the works of the painter Josef Mánes and the exposition of the Svěrák filmmakers. Or take a stroll through the large chateau park and take a break for a picnic. Afterward, go on a hike to Velký Kosíř.
